This study was not pre-registered on the Open Science Framework. However, we had two main hypotheses.
Primary Hypothesis
H0: There is no association between subjective remaining life and procrastination, not is there any moderating effect for temporal orientation.
H1a: Subjective remaining life would be positively associated with procrastination such that individuals with a longer subjective remaining life would exhibit greater procrastination.
H1b: Additionally, we hypothesized that temporal orientation would moderate the association between subjective remaining life and procrastination. Specifically, we expected the association between subjective remaining life and procrastination to be stronger for individuals with low CFC, while individuals with high CFC would show a weaker association due to their inherent future-oriented focus.
